Drupal 5.6 Update went without a hitch on this site
Don't get complacent though and update without backing up first.
I hope my other 6 drupal sites update as easily as this one.
By the way - I've gotten in the habit of not overwriting my sites/* folder on the server when updating. Is that cheating?

I don't think it is cheating to not update the sites folder. That is kind of the point of having everything in there. Just make sure there hasn't been changes to settings.php in the update, but that doesn't happen very often. Nice site..thanks for the videos!

As long as there are no DB changes included - it's easy :-)
And I also do not overwrite the sites directory but I "diff" the settings.php.
